Research

My research focuses on the development of sensors based on thin films of functional oxides. After having worked on YBa₂Cu3O₇-d superconductors, I am now focusing my efforts on bolometric sensors, MEMS, and magnetoresistances based on La₂/₃Sr₁/₃MnO₃ thin films, a ferromagnetic material at room temperature. I am particularly interested in using the possibilities offered by epitaxial growth to modulate the magnetic and electrothermal properties of La₂/₃Sr₁/₃MnO₃, with a particular focus on integration on silicon substrates.
